Telegraph's Director or Brewing Operations Peter Baer and founder Brian Thompson host an intimate and informative evening of beer education on Wednesday, October 19th. Learn about the science and diversity of brewing with Saccharomyces, the domesticated family of brewers’ yeasts responsible for the overwhelming majority of beers brewed in the world today.
Dissecting regional brewing traditions, we will explore in finer detail the yeasts that define those traditions and notable elements or each. This session will illuminate the history and quantities of several key beer styles such as Belgian Ale, Pilsner, and popular American varieties like IPA. Throughout the evening, Baer and Thompson will lead attendees through a tasting of wort samples, a flight of beers selected to highlight specific yeast characteristics, Q & A, and more.
